A healthy 2.3t will put down 170/250, which is plenty for this truckComment

I kind of want to put a turbo 2.3 in a lowered BroncoII to make a Ford version of the Typhoon too…
although there are better engine options the 2.3 is pretty solid, cheap, drops in, and is period correct.
what else could you want??-Nick

Sadly the turbo Limas are neither reliable (arguably never were) or cheap these days, and it would be a lot like putting a stock M50 in an E30 today.Comment

I've driven one with an 88 T-bird swap, and it was meh. Not at all what I hoped for having driven a 2.3 NA Ranger for some years.

We'll see what I end up doing..
This would be cool too, but it's EXPENSIVE

Took the truck up to the mountains this past weekend. It's no 4x4 but it got us up some icy hills, surprisingly.
You can really tell why 4x4 is king in those situations.
On our way down back we decided to hit some trails at the base of the mountain. The truck did great in the sand, even in the powdery sections.
I wanted to see how the truck would do going up a pretty steep incline on a mildly muddy track, so I turn off the main trail to go for it.
BOOM massive dip.
The front left spring slipped out............................
I limped it back to the main road.. Thankfully made it... Had to uber to autozone to get a floor jack and roadside fixed it and made it back with no other issues lol.
