Uh...black people were treated like dog shit for a couple hundred years in this country and were up until a few decades ago. I'm pretty sure theyre pretty entitled

so were asians if not more than black people yet they don't bitch about it compared to black people. in fact, they don't make excuses at all in contrast they work even harder to earn their respect in this "white" world. so sick of hearing the entitlement bitching from minorities

What's so unfair? If it wasn't for things like equal opportunity black people probably still wouldn't be getting jobs. There's a reason why Jobs such as postal workers are prodominaty black, because none of the ignorant business owners would hire them.

I won't continue this debate only because it's all a matter of opinion I guess. And yours are obviously wrong :p

my parent's owned a Chinese restaurant, do you think we only hire Chinese Chefs? NO! most of them are Mexican who have worked hard enough to learn the proper skills and trade for the role that would've otherwise gone to a Chinese person. They're simply not going to hire anyone regardless of ethnicity to fulfill some AA/EO quota.

I am the only Asian person in a Market Research Firm of 100 white employees and they sure as hell didn't hire me to because I can do math as this is a very qualitative based industry. It's simply because I demonstrated my skills better than the white person I was competing with. And hell I'm sure I would've lost my position to a black person had one actually had a better skill set let alone applied for the role but I didn't see one during the group interview. so who is it to blame? the employer?

So what can you take from my 2 personal experiences? They probably don't hire black people more because they have nothing to show for it. you can't just hire people out of pity (this applies to everyone regardless of race).
