I think Iran's belligerence stems way back.
like way back to when the british came and fucked shit up.
(here I am taking part in my dad's ideals).
ahmadinejad does NOT hate jews, as studies show, he may actually have jewish roots....BUT..he does not like zionist.
again, a large misconception.

"Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury."
"Remove Israel before it is too late and save yourself from the fury of regional nations."
"If the West does not support Israel, this regime will be toppled. As it has lost its raison d' tre, Israel will be annihilated."
"Israel is a rotten, dried tree that will be annihilated in one storm."
And,
"[There is] no significant need for the United States."

iran has been a bloody hellhole since, oh, the persian empire or so. which isn't necessarily their fault; it's just the way things work over there. saddam wasn't a brutal dictator because it gave him wood, he tortured and disappeared people because he didn't want to face this kind of open revolt in the streets.
what's going on there now is, in my opinion, their current "life sucks here" safety valve. every few decades they build up enough steam and it gets aired in violent protests on the news. when did they throw the shah out again...?
and that guy ahmedinijad (sp) is shaking hands with is a traitorous shill who gets paid to dress up hassidic and do photo-ops with "the other side", and he thinks that all of his fellow jews should GTFO israel; watch bill maher's Religulous to get a fuller impression of some of his ideas.past:

As far as this revolution in Iran, I would say that I don't see it being the same kind of animal as the 1979 one. The 1979 revolution was the only successful revolution in the Muslim world, and will likely remain so for a long time. I see this as a backlash to Ahmadinejad and the rigging of the election and his reaction to dissent. The next election will probably be one with a moderate leader elected and the problems disappear with a Khomeinist regime still very much in charge.
As for who gets nukes and who doesn't? The one way to make sure you get Nukes without the UN doing much about it is: Don't fucking say "We are going to get nukes!" I mean how do you think Pakistan got it so quick when India started really testing them in the 1998? They didn't fuck around with this BS press campaign that Iran is doing.
As for my comment on a war with Persia being more like the Falklands, I said that because I see it being much more like that than the couple week war with Iraq and the couple month war with Afghanistan. It will be short, but their access to things like guided missles and the like means that they can get lucky and take some of our very expensive equipement/ship out and by doing so bloody our noses like the Brits were by just a few exocet missles.

If you are accepting the premise that the election was rigged (not saying I don't believe it, just follow through with me here), then what makes you think the next election won't be rigged?Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

to be honest, yes, many countries hate Israel.
The ONE thing americans fail to understand is the persian mind frame, and way of thought. Americans fail to understand persian body language, and the way that persians talk. sure, direct translations might scare your ass, but there is an acquired sense that you must obtain to fully understand iranians.
Iran has never, and will never harm Israel. Sure, they might of indirectly funded hammas, but what? they are protecting their interests like many other nations do.
And yes, that is what peugeot boy said.

Well, to be fair, Iran is a country largely made of non-violent PEOPLE.
However, the radical islamic mullah fucks who run the place are disgusting.
My grandmother told me of how her uncle, a Bah'ai was literally *cut up into pieces* by the mullahs, just for being of the bah'ai religon.
this was before the revolution, during the shah's reign...right when the mullah's were starting to gain support.
pretty fucked up, huh?
by the way, I'm no conservative, but in modern day Iran, gays are hung routinely (as well as in all islamic countries)
however, women have 10 x as many rights in Iran, than in Arab countries.
