Theres someone on the forum that did the LS1 swap (I believe). Him and his dad did a ton of awesome looking custom work. Its been a very long time since I've seen the thread so maybe it didn't come out as planned but maybe find that thread and ask him. Ask him if he can have mounts made (already have been tested) and other things that he might be able to make for you for a price or see if you can buy a copy of the mounts diagrams if he used some.

Daniel, I'm doing it for respect yes but (previously stated) mainly because I'm bored with the m20 and I want something outrageous for the first time. I want to drive something that I will always get excited about when I push the pedal a lil further. the reason ls swap is because its N/A and has all the power I want in a convieniant package. no turbo's or boost controllers to mess with. no swapping fuel injectors and all that other shit.
the sound i'll make when I crank it up will make me wet and ready to ride every time...
the confidence at the track, the satisfaction of puttin ricers in check.. all that feeling you get when you own a muscle car but its coming from a BMW. win-win...

So you rode a bike on the freeway then you havent pushed it. And some how I doubt youve gone over 160. My 600 would do 180 plus but I never took it passed 186. Never been that fast since and it had some more.84 318I Delphin RIP

the point is the acceleration... I like the idea of having it availible...
when i'm brave enough or having suicidal thoughts i'll gladly hit 183...
y do u say fuck yamaha? they have some of the best bikes out.... seen the cruisers?
Edit theres nothing wrong with the way a 600 pulls. They pull hard when you gear them right unless you have an R6 lol. I only went down 1 tooth in the front and added a tre and a power camander with twobrothers exaust and a bmc filter. The bike would clutch up forth with a me preloading not bad for a lill 600 It was an 03 gsxrLast edited by 416stroker; 06-27-2009, 11:27 PM.84 318I Delphin RIP

just like me perfering and r1 over the r6. I've pushed the limits of a 600cc and its easily reached... the 1000 is something i can ride and never have to attempt the limit.
two sum it up, either way will never get boring...Estoril E36 M3/4/5 | Toledo E53 X5 3.0 | LeMans E90 335D M-Sport

turbo is a way to go but its not as satisfying as a V8..
turbo power bands suck and we all can agree. the v8 will have high torque numbers that I can use through out the whole r3v range...
then turbo's require custom ecu work and tuning and such.. I was really lookin for a plug n play powerplant. just get the harness work and the vats eliminated and im good.
on top f that it'll be more impressive..
Thanks for entertaining my thoughts on this guys... I think ima buy the bike and just slowly peice together the ls2 build...
I'm in no rush, plus the bike will keep me plenty entertained till the ls2 is in. That way I'll have both.

A TRE is a timing retardenteliminator. Suzkis retard the shit out of the timing to make them more controlable in the first 4 gears.
Yosh is not louder than a twobrothers unless you cut it down. I've had both I ran a cut down RS3 on my stunt bike the two brothers sounds best on a gixer IMO. It gives it a powerful low deep sound but screams up top. But the RS3 was better looking.
For a yamaha Id go with an akrapovic or a micron.84 318I Delphin RIP

you know your shit. a guy I called about an r1 said akrapovic would be the best bang for the buck...
Hey I might chat with you later on if you don't mind... You're gonna be a great help when it comes to making a good choice and snatching a deal...
What would be my best choice out of a G750, cbr954, or yzfr1?
better yet, what have you had plenty experience with?
I'm really not into gixxers after that 750 I rode. the 600's are nice but not enough and plus everybody and they dead uncle has one...
