Socialism has been a part of this country from day 1. It is not some evil ideology that has yet to be introduced and will cause this country to fall into chaos and decay. It is a spectrum and all Obama is doing is moving us further along the spectrum like every single President before him.

Yeah I don't understand the whole anti-socialism thing. I mean all these people that are pro-free market forget that the only reason the USA does good on the "free-market" is because of government subsidies and things like that which kinda defeats the point. Obama is only moving things an inch though, he would never actually do what is needed to help the world recover from the Neo-Liberal capitalist agenda of the past 30 years.

chill out man. it's just politics :) I haven't had to change a thing and I don't expect I'd have to either. I'd like the tax code to be revamped, I'd like the wars to be ended, so my tax dollars arn't wasted on them. The one thing I did expect him to do is to end these wars, not send 40k more troops to fight a losing battle. For that alone he doesn't deserve the peace prize but I really don't give a fuck that he got it either. I don't much care for what norway in particular has to say. They are hypocrites that support terrorism in other countries for their own ends.

The opening up of markets in developing countries by the nations at the top. Its not like it is some conspiracy or something lol. The nations at the top like the USA say open up your markets and you will be rich like us, even though none of the top economic powers have markets like that. The World Bank, IMF, and WTO yadda yadda yadda.

Its a case of do what I say and not what I do. Just look at NAFTA and what it did to Mexico's agricultural industry. And you wonder why people hate the term "Globalization" so much, because it is not an apt term for the concept being presented.
