I think Obama has already given more speeches, than Bush did in his entire reign (that's right, reign). I like his speeches and it's very refreshing hearing well thought-out sentences coming from a leader, but at what point will his inspirational speeches begin to inspire? I am very disturbed that US is looked at as an incompetent nation.

If you really think that, that's pretty sad. Nothing in my life has changed over the past year, except classes have gotten harder to get into because of so little money for education and teachers being cut. I don't know what this new route in history is you speak of, but it is total bullshit. I say that not because of the fact that he is a Democrat or Half-black, but because he is a politician. One who has done nothing to shake the stereotype of politicians as caring more for special interests, pork-barreling, and making promises he can't possibly keep.

I don't hate Obama, but I do hate the fucking nut-hugging he gets from people like you. Just like I hated it when people did the same for Bush, or Clinton, they are all just fucking politicians. You could make the argument that the world isn't any better off because of any of them as well.

i really think it's a case of the ABB (anybody but bush) syndrome. bush fucked up so royally both domestically and internationally that the world sees obama as a god send to deliver them from the moronic imperialism of bush & gang. that in no way is a valid argument for giving this award to obama, but that's what happened i bet. besides i've not held the nobel peace prize in much regard since they gave it to arafat. no one of any political persuasion who used terrorism as a political weapon should be eligible imo.

the Chinese aren't stupid.. i don't think they give a damn about what POTUS says. it's what he does to impact their trade status that they care about. As long as they have MFN status they are happy.
