Just a design exercise for the museum, not a running car. And why 918 wheels (unless maybe that's what it's built on)?

Interesting that it has a sort of hump in the front part of the hood - I've never noticed that. Different from the stock slope. Must have been extra gear needed under there that didn't fit.

Also, I like that 917 plumbing and air jacks shot.

    Nice! Lucky trip!

Funny they don't have museum docents or security.

I went to the Porsche museum last summer, and these are some of my favorite pictures,.

911 rsr, 917 turbo kit, 959 Africa rally (still had dirt and debris), 919 that beat the world record le mans, and current 911 rsr.

Funniest part is there was a German man and his family walking around getting in the cars. I remember seeing him climbing up on displays getting in 911 Carrera RS, Carrera GT, and he even tried to pull open the 919 cockpit. But it was locked. Left his greay prints on all the cars.

Not shown: driver's massive balls. Probably the reason the passenger side wheels are off the ground...all that weight.

That B&W photo is fantastic and probably taken in Ireland.

Lilac Touring model. It's in Australia now.

"Ride height? Yeah, we got a template for that. Drive over the box."

"Looks good, you're good to go - just don't change springs or add more fuel, OK?"

    "Sure thing, Bub."
