Check these guys out for a custom in ear solution to your Sennheisers.

As far as having the molds done, My audiologist charged me 15 bucks and it took 10 minutes.

There are 2 kinds actually. Custom fit, and universal fit.

those are nice (hd280 pros) I have a set as well.
My only complaint would be they're a little thin in the lower freq's

So it's not really a bump from the dead, so here goes.

I bought a set of Beyerdynamic DT990 600ohm cans last week, and have been rocking on them since I bought them (and as I write this).

Oh god, these are good. They're not the most neutral headphone, so if you like finding flaws in your recordings or playing studio engineer, these probably aren't for you. They are amazingly fun to listen to though. Nice tightly controlled bass that never seems to be too much, clear mids, and clear highs. I've only got ~8-10 hours on the headphones, but they sound astonishingly good with my amp. Without the amp they're usable too. Despite the really high impedance rating, they get to be louder than I like to listen to when the phone is at max volume, but much below that, and the headphones are WAY too quiet. Yay impedance.

They don't provide much noise isolation though, so they are best used in a rather quiet area. They're not super portable either since they don't fold up (I have the Sony 7506s for that), but for listening to music or watching tv, or xbox-ing at home, they're awesome. These are my favorite headphones yet. Still saving for an HD650 tho.

Amazon has an amazing price on these (and all Beyerdynamics), and they carry the 32/250 ohm versions as well.

Just bought these, awesome bang for the buck. Tight deep bass and crisp highs. Very comfortable.

I'm not a bass head, but I can't stand not being able to hear the lower frequencies on songs when i know they are there.

Right now, I'm looking at either the Hippo VB, Panasonic RP-HJE900, and Audio Technica ATH-CKS70. I'm trying to stay under $100.

A lot of my research thus far has come from head-fi.org and THIS THREAD in particular.

                  Any recommendations?
                  An update if anyone cares...
I ended up getting the Hippo VB and Brainwavz M3. The Hippo VB's were supposed to be for my brother, but he says they aren't comfortable, so I kept them for myself.

The VB's have very good bass, but lack some detail. The build quality on them isn't great. It's not easy for me to get a comfortable fit with the stock tips, so I might try some others.
The M3's have good detail and clarity. The bass is good and doesn't overpower the rest of the sound... it's only there when it should be, but I wouldn't mind if it were a little more prominent. Overall, I am very happy with these.

I want to try out the Monster Turbines or Panasonic RP-HJE900 as I think they might be somewhere between the VB and M3.

I'm on my 3rd set of these. Dog tore one set up like a toy, gave another set to a brother. Sony has been making these for many years, which is amazing considering most consumer electronic products get their model numbers changed yearly.

I have a set of grado sr80i's and love them. Not really for bass at all like closed phones but its great for a lot of what I listen to.

win in my opinion. I wore them alot whilst at Rutgers. sometimes my Ipod would be dead and i still wore them b/c they canceled noise. I hated listening to other people in the city on the bus. work great, still lasted after a solid year, and the quality is awesome compared to any other ear bud ive used. for 15 bucks, cant beat it.

Ultimate Ears currently, long time user of Sound isolating ear buds. Shures were my go-to back in the day. But the SuperFi5's from Ultimate ears offer great bang for the buck!
