^I've honestly never had a listen to those. Just go try a pair of AKG Varimotion equipped beauties and be blown away. They're like the best pair of $3000 speakers you'll ever hear, for the bargain price of $200.

I've got the MDR-7506, which is almost identical to the V6. Awesome headphone for the money.

I thought that too until I heard the Beyer DT990s. OMG. My brother has both the 7506 and 7509HD, and I've got the 7506 and love them, but for home listening, the Beyers blow them out of the water.

The 7506 is still my go-to choice whenever I'm not at my desk or want sound insulation, and they do sound great.

If you were going to spend 50-75 on a set of headphones which ones would they be? Mostly for watching movies on computer and listening to digital music.

Best bang for the buck over ear headphones has to be the audio technika ATH-M50. I would never give these babies up. Im in the market for good iems and been doing alot of reaserch and i think i have narrowed it down to NuForce ne700x and the Fischer audio eterna but i cant pull the trigger on either

Beyerdynamic makes some excellent headphones for gaming/average music listenting. They are built like tanks!

                  Here is what I have.

                  Grado SR80i - rock/guitar music
                  Beyer DT770 80ohm - gaming/not bothering the misses
                  Yuin PK3 - ear buds for work/running
Porta Pro special edition - because I have to?

I will recommend the beyerdynamics to anyone. It's a sound anyone can enjoy.

Next on the list is Grado RS1i

Skull candy is garbage compared to so many other headphones. I still have a pair of their "high end" ones waiting to be returned right now.

They have higher end HP's! I bought the 60 dollar titanium ones. Promptly returned them. But then again, I promptly returned the Klipsch in-ear buds too that were over 100 dollars. :)

Based on this thread and a couple weeks of reading reviews, I purchased a pair of MDR-V6's. These are the best headphones I've ever bought (had MDR-V150's in highschool, they broke due to shitty plastic and normal abuse). These haven't even burned in yet (about 2 hours on them) and they are awesome so far.
