i wouldnt get either of those VWs. why do you need AWD? why dont you get a RWD and use a set of snow tires for the small part of the year you need them? come to think of it, youre 17, you need an old POS you spoiled brat.

well MN is very flat so that is a dead give away that the riding wont be good

but they make the best out of there parks around here and there are 4-5 places all under 35 minutes from me and have different things to offer and one of them takes 10 minutes to get to
it is nothing like boarding out west but it does the job

No I haven't, 5-6 hrs of driving for another mediocre park just isnt worth it to me ya know? there are some decent ones around MN up north like Wild Mountian, Giants Ridge and Lutsen
those are some of the more popular ones here but for park around me Buck Hill, Hyland Hills and Afton Alps are the best

but i have been to Breck, Happiness, Big Sky, Mt. Bachelor and Bear and these places are all shit holes compared to them

I understand that but there is no reason he can call me a spoiled brat for driving a 4k bmw? and the reason i am getting a new car also is because the transmission on the car is on its last limb (again) and if you i am going to get another car, in my mind it should be something i will like threw college and will last so i dont have to keep hoping around, i just cant stand people that just jump to conclusions

I don't care if your parents are in the position and willing to get you a nice car, by all means lucky you. (I have several friends with more valuable cars that their parents got them, I understand how it works)

At the same time, in HS it's very likely that something could go wrong. If nothing else people treat cars like shit, hell sometimes even jealous kids at school will fuck with it.

It simply makes more sense to hold off on getting something nicer until later. Even though it sounds super cool to get a nice car now, trust me on this, in a couple years it will be just as cool. AND it's fun to have a beater in high school.

yeah i understand, i have thought about a 325ix w/ a s50 swap but i dont even know if that is possible?

I also have looked into getting a early 2000's wrangler and a 325is as a track toy, i really wouldnt mind keeping a wrangler outside, what do you guys think of that?

Yeah, thats what i have been thinking about the major turn away with the R32 is the possible maintenance same with the S4 but these are some of the most insurance friendly performance cars i can find. Another turn away with the S4 is the gas and i plan on going to school in Madison and that could become a problem with a V8. Now with the mods thing i really don't want to mod the next car because that could potentially lead to more issues, but i have been considering all of those factors

Wheels, Drop, Exhaust and Intake which can get pricey but i honestly am trying to find a good base car that i like in stock form

depending on where you put that money, the more money you invest instead of buying a car would get you an even nicer car- or a little bit of money to play with after you buy the same car after college. Just Sayin.
