Didn't know troopers can clock you when they were driving towards you...

The other day me and my neighbor were hitting some apex's here (was fuggin awesome!!!0 on the R6. well soon as the turns were over we coasted down the country road and we see a state trooper driving towards us. I slow down but didn't realize how fast I was going because I wasn't on the throttle for the past 16th of a mile. we pass him up at about 60 in a 55. he turns around and pulls us over and said he clocked us at 80 when he first seen us. I honestly wasn't going 80. probably 70 but definitely not 80. I'm 24 and have never gotten a speeding ticket in my life. I honestly can't afford a $440 ticket.
    What are my options?

This is either the weakest attempt at an April Fool's Day joke ever, or you're an even bigger idiot than I thought. Either way, this will not end well for you.

try for traffic school? or go to court and ask for all the documentation on their radar and since they were driving, their spedo has to be accurate to find your actual speed instead of the speed you too were approaching. so ask to see documentation that their spedo has recently been calibrated. if the judge hassles you saying that you could have asked for that info earlier if you needed it for your case, tell him that its not your responsibility prove the validity of the evidence against you and that without validity it can't be held against you. then when you lose the case try for traffic school.

Forget asking for radar data. Concentrate on tire pressure. All you have to do is prove the tire pressure was not verified and recorded the day the ticket was issued. Do not offer an affirmative defense.

It is true that you need not ask for this in advance. If you are questioned about this, suggest that certainly this is not the first time the officer has been to court-surely he knows what to bring with him by now...

Moving radar is always a money grab.

right, but if they verify clocked speed (and they will be able to) but dont bring spedometer calibration verification (sometimes they dont) they cant prove your speed.

how does this tire pressure thing work?

You didn't ask to see the radar?

                      Fuck you, you're stupid.

The mobile radar devices have a few flaws. I heard this out of the guy who calibrates them for the entire Olympia-Tacoma-Seattle area. If there is a large object or vehicle around you, it will pick up the speed of the large object/vehicle.

If there was anyone around you, car or otherwise and you were on a crotch rocket, it's a safe bet you could argue in court that he didn't get your speed accurately.

                          *EDIT*

Also, file for discovery. Go over every article of paperwork the officer brings and check the dates for every certification.

                          Or get a Lawyer.

Usually there is a lawyer who gets shit like this handled for about $150.

Easy money for them, smart move for you.

                              ^ yep.

i would assume he meant that tire pressure is an issue because the higher the pressure the rounder and taller the tire is, and vice versa.

but that makes less sense to me than to argue external diameter of the tire. since that changes based on wear and doesnt change based on psi.
