This may get me flamed hard, but I feel for the police officer. You can see the look on his face the second he pulled the trigger, he looked like a deer in the headlights. He obviously didn't mean to pull out his gun, therefore he had no intent. That takes murder one off the table. His negligence lead the death of that young man, no question, but it was not murder.

Negligence leading to death is manslaughter, it is up to the court to decide whether it was voluntary or involuntary. He involuntarily pulled the trigger of his gun. He meant to voluntarily pull the trigger of his tazer. The sentence is light, but his life is ruined no matter how long he spends in prison.

All that being said, the family of the young man will make millions off the civil suits, wrongful death and negligence cases, just like when OJ was found not guilty in criminal court but had to pay out his ass in civil court.
