For the record, I wouldn't drop 1k on a look conversion. I'd be legit at that price. And, the value of your bike does not increase from each receipt you have for parts, like a car. You may have it into the bike, but it aint worth that.

A cars value does not increase by the amount of money you put in to it. Ask parkerbink about car value and receipts with his last dealing with his insurance company for proof of that. As a matter of fact cars and bikes have a lot in common in that respect. You never get back what you put in to them. You do it because you love what they are. My bikes for the most part are functional art to me, the road bikes are collectors editions but don't just hang in the garage, I actually ride them. The 2 Look bikes are extremely limited editions. The KG176 was a fun build nothing special and the MTB is a Secialized Marathon 29. Just like you love your e30 I love my bikes. You have not heard me disparage your love for your car have you? I am an e30 lover as well, just don't own one right now. I thought this thread was about people running cyclists over not over how much I spent on my bikes. Someone asked how much so I answered and somehow this has become about me and not about the assholes who want to cause cyclists harm on the roads. Go ahead and assassinate my character all you want because in reality you don't know a damn thing about me. The simple minded moreon's (yes I misspelled it on purpose) that think they own the road need to know that they do not. Am I an arrogant roadie prick? If caring that I don't get run over by cars driven by assholes who think they own the road is a prick then I guess I am. I'm out for another year until I see something good to raise my ire again.
