    Got an e30 in '98, found BEN in '99. Then found E3S when BEN disappeared during the summer of '02. Heh, I still remember sitting in that summer computer lab class wondering how the hell I was going to pass the time now that BEN disappeared, till I found the backup forum.

                BMWPower.net and BEN ... bailed from DTM when it went mad commercial, and settled in at E3S around the same time. Progressed with all you guys from there.

                vivid memories of Ove ice drifting that damn m40!

                    Started lurking the forums back right after bmwmpower.net went DTM in '01.

                    Spent a little time on e3s, then became uninterested, shut down, and the rest is history.

                      I was on BEN in 2000, then DTM for a while before E3S came out. I'm on my 2nd E30 in 5 years now; working as a BMW tech now as well.

                        you read the parodies of skip
                        Fear of buying an m42 because of Tim Thurber
                        You actually read and learned
                        2 forums were sufficient, Tech and community
                        some dewd named tnucu with a beater
                        a 4.10 lsd was a gem, shiet a 3.73lsd was tits
                        dropping cars was not even a thought, you simply wanted sport springs..
                        m50swap? whoa? um cold winter project of some dude as one of the pioneers
                        chat room where you met gunni, some othe dude from SA, some aussie cats etc
                        you had answers to questions before you posted them because you searched
                        very few pics of car, even if at all they were blurry scanned pics
                        a stroker was to die for.
