Lol agreed. My friend (23) picked up a 1999 911 Carrera. He had the clutch replaced along with a few minor things. I'd LOVE to own one, without the maint costs. They're crazy expensive, but also balls to the wall fast.

I know you said you didn't want a VW but... these aren't exactly VW's. And all in your price range. Also if you are going to get a porsche, which is probably unlikely then don't get a water cooled, especially a first generation water cooled.

I'm still going to mention the mazda speed 3, great car, sporty, 4 doors, lots of trunk room, 260hp.
