hes in OH anything form U-haul LEAVING that area (or other states with lots of people moving out) will cost you a shit pile, as people are still leaving in DROVES so there is a lack of supply in the state, and Uhaul has to ship them in.

OP Trash the bed, when you get where you are going go to Cost Co and get a good Foam mattress IIRC the queens are like 350 bucks and will be a very happy man. (if cant swing it right away just leave the mattress on the floor, but do eventually spend the 150 on the foundation for it, it makes them that much more comfortable.)

Sell all the shit you dont absolutely need ship what dose not fit, and give away anything else or store it at a buddies till you can get back to get it.

Edit ABF, now offers a Pods Like service. Upack is what we have been using to move around with its a service from ABF freight lines. You can get a full semi Pup wagon or partial and now they have a small container thing like pods but cheaper. I think for 1 pod thing would be about 1700 door to door, and you dont have the fuel bills associated with a Uhaul

When I moved from MI to MT 2000 miles we got 2 3bed homes, 2 garages and a horse barns worth of shit into a 28 foot ABF trailer and 2 horse trailers both big though and 2 Tahoes. Along with 2 dogs, 3 horses and 7 cats (some are barn cats) I think all said and done we had 5200 in the ABF wagon and about 2500 in fuel, for a 2000 mile move in the dead of January

Sell ALL of your furniture and large electronics. Pack everything else into a few boxes and put them in your e30. Once you get to Spokane and settle in you will be amazed at the relatively few amount of things you re-bought and the stuff that you did re-buy is probably affordable. Most people have more shit than they need. It feels good to get rid of shit too.

^ not a bad idea at all. Now that ive determined im just gonna pack the E30 and drive, its time to map my trip. So far im planning on stopping in Chicago, and Pine River, MN.

Anyone have any suggestions for places to stop? Im trying to do between 8-10 hours a day of driving.

definitely sell everything you don't need and can't fit into the E30. $1600 to haul a bunch of "stuff"... not worth it.

I am about 2 hours north of missoula, off 90 in western MT if you run into issues in that neighborhood.

Also if you take the 94 though ND and back down to 90 in Billings route its a little bit shorter than 90 though SD and WY. Plus I think the scenery is better going though ND than SD, not to mention you completely avoid WY.

As far as places to stay on this route, DONT STOP IN GILLETTE WY. If you can even find a room they are UBER pricy with all the miners and drillers. Same goes for ND as well.

The last time I had to make lots of stops on a run like this from just a little ways east of where you are

stop in Sioux Falls SD (I assume your in the Columbus area) 13ish hours. I will sugest that if you take the route the maps program gives you, when you are in IA DONT continue North west on 218 outta waterloo, stay on 20 west till you get to 35 north, its WAY FASTER to get to mason city. Say high to my FIL when you go by.

Sioux - Billings, yeah its busy around there but you find the most hotels its a 10 hour jaunt. I would advise further but in mid august its the height of touron season and other than maybe Butte your going to have trouble finding a room for less than a 120 a night, that far west in MT.

Then its 8 hours to Spokane, and its one of the best drives from just east of Missoula all the way to Spokane. Oh if you have never been over a western mountain pass, enjoy the view.
