I enjoy the company of my parents, my dad more than my mom though. We get along better because we are more similar. my mom says she see a lot of her dad in me also, although he was killed in a car accident while she was pregnant with me.

I never got punished for anything i did not deserve. I never felt it was out of line either.
The world is an uncaring and violent place, the sooner you learn that you wont die if you get hit, the better.

My parents gave me enough rope to hang myself and let me run with it. I did a lot of bad things in my youth. I was a hammer skin, did plenty of fighting, went to jail a few times, did about every illgal drug out there. I was never out of control my eyes, just experiencing life. On my own, i got out of being a skin head, never got addicted to drugs and never went to prison. I know if i had asked for help, they would have been there for me, but i also had the where with all to do it on my own and stand up for myself. I can attribute that to my upbringing.

I have always attacted everything i do with tenasity and the knowledge i would prevail in the e
I can honestly say, without my upbringing, i would not have faired as well as i did after my accident.

sometimes its best to keep your mouth shut, could be positive or negative. Ever watch any kids shows on tv ? Every damn kid in these shows talk back to their parents to the point of raising their voices or challenging what the parent has to say. Oh wait, thats off topic

I think everyone needs a good ass whopping to straighten them out sometimes. people these days (teenagers for the most part) cry like little bitches when someone talks bad about them on facebook.. or commit suicide because they are eHated on.

grow some nuts, physical abuse is a FANTASTIC way to quickly get someone to learn things and lessons through pain than non physical methods.

Im a prior Parris Island Marine, 3rd bat, we got the shit beat out of us daily.. as an adult, and I learned what i needed and it made me a stronger willed, unafraid, and focused person.

the kids who were not spanked or disciplined as children had no idea what to do or how to handle some of the stuff that happened, they'd break down and cry, attempt suicide, 1 guy actually "hung" himself from his bed when i was in boot camp and succeeded.

so i dont think it should be an everyday occurance, but if you screw up bad enough, you should get your ass beat

if you disagree, thats fine, you can put your kids in timeout when they try to set fire to something because they play with matches.

LOL! Sir, you are extremely ignorant. Not to be rude, I respect your opinion but...

Do you have kids? How many?

I f you do and they are great kids, congrats on your approach at parenting. But what about their kids?

If you don't, then you really shouldn't voice shit like that.

Everyone is different, no two children are alike. Pain and discomfort happen to be the biggest factor in childhood development or learning. If a child does something wrong, spank em'. Talking can be a very risky form of punishment.

We got smacked in the ass with "The Stick" which was a 1 x 2 about 2 feet long. If it was during the day my Mom would usually do the honors which was very unpleasant, but if we had been particularly bad we had to wait until Dad got home from work (manual labor) and that was no joke. Usually 3 sometimes 5 strokes that seemed to last for 5 minutes somehow.

Interestingly enough, my Dad never laid a hand on me but it was my Mom who beat the shit out of me twice when I was a kid. It's funny too because she is petite and a really sweet and caring person but for whatever reason I was enough of an asshole to make her snap and beat the shit out of me. I don't hold any grudges against her for it.

I really wasn't beaten or smacked like that but the way that my mom punished me stuck in my head really deep. She sent me to prison when I was 8 because I forged her name on something. Dropped me off said "you broke the law and this is where you'll be for the next 6 months" and left for a few hours to let me think of what I did. My neighbor was the sheriff who stationed there so he played along and I got printed, had to change in prison attire...yes they have clothes for small kids for midgets who go to prison, and all the 9 yards. I was never around prisoners but I did see them. The looks on them when they saw me through the bars in prison clothes was utter confusion. I think after that I really snapped out of my little shit head mentality.
