No, unfortunately not. In fact, I was planning on doing it next year but my last two business are being offered winter quarter only - so I couldn't make it :(

Seriously though, EVERYONE needs to travel. Fuck going straight into a career; you've got your whole life to do that. Get a backpack, book a flight and just bomb your way through Europe. I remember and relive my eight weeks abroad more than anything that's happened in the past year and a half at work.

I didn't take a day off for that entire span JUST so I could take three weeks and do it again. Last month I was wading through the snow in romania and smoking hookah in ukraine.

Mkcman. I'm going to fucking do that. It sounds amazing. I was never big on traveling, but I think I need to.

Did you go alone or with friends?

I've done both, but either way is worth it. Going by yourself is great because you can make decisions to do whatever you want on a moment's notice. I plan one or two days in advance...I recommend central and eastern europe; most people speak english and the dollar goes a looooong way. You'll make friends every night if you do the hostel thing, insanely cheap too.

Trust me, once you get a 'real' job you won't have time or ambition to travel.

The summer after I graduated. I walked then did a summer abroad to finish up units.

Not only will you remember it for the rest of your life, employers will ask about it on your resume to get a feel for who you are outside of the bullet points

My gf and I are going to Europe this summer after our last semester of CC and we are beyond excited. Mike I've stalked your trips a bit and they make me even that much more excited to go. I, like you, figured that there really isn't going to be a better time for us to go so why not just do it

I'm so glad you guys are going! You guys are going to have a BLAST. Please lmk if you need any trip advice...try to limit your time in england/france as it's crazy expensive, germany is amazing, try to make your way through vienna/bratislava/prague/budapest.
