What for/where are you attending?
Not worth being nervous for anything. I started college in September, and the whole month of August I worked myself up over that big change in my life, and the pressure to perform, responsibility and all that... And then I began classes... And what do you know? I like it so much better than high school. I didn't know anyone, I made a couple really good friends, i'm experiencing people and concepts i wouldnt normally find myself with, I'm learning things, and honestly... It may just be me, (I come from a very tiger-mom type of town/school system) ...but its really not all that bad.
You will enjoy it. Plus I'm sure being at a more mature age and place in life puts you at an advantage, since you've had years out in 'the real world' and will be able to filter what you learn as 'useful' and 'bullshit'.... Not to mention the fact that you'll probably be less distracted/pressured the way 18-19-20 somethings like I am, and you're already accustomed to having real responsibilities.
Relax. Just try not to stare too much at the smoking blonde 20 year old sitting in front of you in comp.

Its a community college in San Diego, it looks WAY fancier than the one i almost attended in Ohio years ago. I don't have a specific goal in mind yet beyond learning how to earn a living wage. So far I have not found anything that interests me, I already followed my passions twice and lost, I don't really know what to do with myself now. I'm just hoping eventually I will find some direction, some thing that I think I can tolerate doing during the course of my attendance that will pay me enough to rent an apartment on my own once I am done (housing costs where I live are astronomical.
I'm mostly only nervous because my life is so crazy and overwhelmingly busy even without college. I am already stressed to the max all the time and now this is 5+ more hours a week of stuff I have to somehow fit in. If I could afford to work less or live close enough that I didn't have an hour+ commute each way wherever i go i would feel a lot better about it.
Friends and family have not all been exactly encouraging about my choice either. They know I struggle and I think they are afraid this will push me over the edge.sigpic

I may or may not be avoiding homework right now... Think I figured out how an e46M kept up with my buddies' CTSV even though the M has less power on paper... Gearing and more usable ratios in the trans.-Christian

I'm so happy I only have a 9 o'clock class on Tuesday/Thursday. 12:30 for Monday/Wednesday and 11:30 Friday
So much better than last semester.
