Don't remind me about that thing ...

Here's some pics from last weekend when me and my neighbor went for a drive into the LA canyons. He bought it like that through the Petrolicious marketplace. Changed the 14s to 15s and swapped the steering wheel to a Prototipo. I'm trying to swoop on his 14" R888 tires for my roadster

Yes, I'm posting my Datsun in the Alfa thread, deal with it

And this was taken almost right after he got it when we went to K1 for his birthday when he was still on 14s

    Nice. Good work.

In other news I took another step forward with the Sprint project yesterday. I finally picked up the custom built 4.10 54% lock LSD rear end for it. Now to get the bushings installed in the trailing arms, and A frame and get it reinstalled. I should also have my Alfaholics exhaust system tomorrow.

    Will

Hey, I just won the Kimberly Cup at Road America in my 69 Alfa Spider. Here it is in the winner circle. And the prize; an engraved bottle of wine.

Lack of progress at my house....too many other projects and repairs to just keep up. That's all thick dust. Note E30 manual trans on floor for swap project - somehow it got in line in front of my car!

I read recently that these aftermarket headlight bubbles tend to shrink away from the opening, like curling up tighter - I just noticed this...

I am enthused....but maybe not in white with pinstripes...

But it looks really tidy and well-kept. Decent price I think?

Jalopnik nice-price-or-crack-pipe: At $6,995, Could You Get Enthused Over This 1985 Alfa Romeo GTV6?

Jeremy Clarkson once sagely opined that Alfa Romeo ownership was the mark of the true auto enthusiast. Today’s Nice Price or Crack Pipe GTV6 could just be that opportunity. That is, as long as its price isn’t truly too high.

I think there are a lot of guys who have done just that here on the r3v. Some sharp-looking, great handling, fast, dialed, professional swaps out there. Cars that look factory, but way more than the factory ever attempted. Lightweight production parts require enough demand to bother with - don't think we're there (yet?).

I don't know my GTV numbers, that basic body was made from '65-ish to '75 in Europe. I know with the Duetto, there were about 6000 bodies made by Pininfarina from '66 to '69, about 3000 of those were 1600 Spiders in '66-'67.

there were so many more e30s built than gtv's. my question is why the hell don't we have someone doing exactly this to our cars? we have so much more potential.

you say you want a 400hp m5 engine/6 speed trans in your 325is? no problem! you want m3 body panels on your cabriolet? we can do that too!

this gets me thinking.......who do we know that has the knowhow? perhaps jordan? i just am not sure about his ability or desire to manage a shop.

who do we know that has the capability to manufacture parts? perhaps garagistic? i just don't know that they have the ability to output the quality like alfaholics is doing.

someone needs to start making quality carbon and /or aluminum doors, deck lids and hoods.(eurostop lol! just kidding here) i think someone needs to make a complete suspension system on the level of what alfaholics does. ground control possibly? if there was a suspension system available for an e30 akin to the one pictured above that i could use with my m roadster rear arms, you can bet i would buy it.

    on a side note- Will......updaaaaates!!!?????
