I have no idea why someone would write "Duetto" across their glovebox door....Comment

Was that to me? The Sprint was Alfa Red on red. There are entirely too many red Alfas in the world. My '69 105.51 was red on black.
How it looked when I pulled it out of the barn...
How it looked a month and a half later...
How it looked shortly before death...

In your case, the Black does look good and with the bodywork being done right I would go black. Ultimately its your car and if you dont care about originality, go with any color you wantSimon

i think navy blue or silver would be my top choices on that car. in my opinion, black is better than red. i generally don't like red cars very much personally.
it does depend on the interior color. i think you mentioned above that the interior was red? are you planing to stick with that color or change it up? navy blue would look kind of silly with red interior i think.sigpic

Such a fantastic looking car. In going black, it was a factory color so I'm still staying stock. The interior will be like this, again, original yet in a different color. I'd do black vinyl with the grey on grey pinstripe material.
This pic shows the chrome pieces that aren't shown in the pics above. I am lucky enough to have it all.
Likely an anthracite carpet, and light grey headliner (stock) Even if I go with a blue, I think the interior would still look sharp.

Going back through my archives
Its kinda wild to look back a few years and see how far my skill behind the lens has progressed.

^^^Deep blue Sprint.....mmmm...
So, the boys over at Alfaholics in the UK will build you what they call a GTA-R, a GTA replica filled with go fast parts. Super light, drilled out speed bits, tasty.
Today I was looking at it and saw that they'll also build you a Spider-R based on the Duetto body, with:
GTA-R suspension
Big brakes
Hot rod but streetable 1750 engine with Webers
Lightweight flywheel, driveshaft, and a LS rear end
Stainless sport exhaust
7x15 GTA wheels
Interior re-done with all leather panels, leather sport seats, wood wheel, wool carpets
Wool-lined trunk
I didn't even look to see how much...Comment

no offense to the duetto body. but if all those upgrades were on, say a rust free late style gtv body, i would have a hard on right now.sigpic

Ohh, they'll gladly sell you all the bits individually! Start unwrinkling those Pound notes!

Actually, right now would be the time to buy all my stuff from Alfaholics or Classic Alfa since the pound has taken a dive. I so want the racing suspension kit from Alfaholics for the Sprint.
