I have nothing new to add, but I would definitely be applying like you say you have been....also, always better to quit than to be fired in my book (just personal pride point). I hope it gets resolved in a favorable manner to you...hopefully you can keep if (if you like it) and if not, hopefully you find something you like more and that pays more. Good luck, man.
