Roll bar vs. Roll cage.

OP, case in point if you're driving on the street just get a bar.

I do have harnesses(unfortunately before the cage) and looking for a cheap, but genuine brand fixed back. And yeah, thats why I meant I was an idiot----> DD-ing a car with no heat or a/c, p/s, interior, a 302 and a full cage.

It's a street car, you don't need a roll bar.

Or make a track car with a roll bar, fixed back seats and harnesses.

even with all the padding, if your head hits the cage you're done.

the words daily driver and cage dont belong together. if it was a weekend car, then a half cage. but if you're dead set on a cage, get a bolt in half cage and racing seats that are high enough that your head wont go backwards and hit the top of the cage. potentially.
