Man , that's awesome. You should hire this kid so he is protected from the rest of the world. I totally want a dude wearing a Fresh As Fuck t-shirt working for me, calling on a fortune 100 company. I can totally see the merchants of said company respecting what he has to sell.....

All I'm saying is that in class his job is to teach the kid what ever he's there to learn. To hell with what he's wearing. He's not on a job interview, or to sell you siding. To ask him to leave is bold move. What do you think his dean would say?

I imagine the dean would stand behind the professor he felt was qualified enough to teach and oversee the class.

Well said Curtis. Many of you are missing the point. I wore it to class not work, so stop relating the two; it's IRRRRRRELEVANT.

Keep wearing it then. See how that works out for you.

I work with a bunch of guys that cuss enough to make a sailor blush, are out in the mud, dirt, weather, and what ever else needs to be done to get the job done. A fresh and as fuck t-shirt while novel and would get a laugh with some of them, would not go over well with guys signing the pay checks and when the big wigs from Huston show up or even some foremen. Seen guys run off for way less.

edit: Your in fucking COLLEGE YOUR SCHOOLING IS YOUR WORK and should be treated as SUCH. the fact that you cant seem to grasp this is what we are all getting at.

                Yeah, no.
So if OP decided to just say Fresh As Shit over and over again during class, he should be allowed to stay? Disruption is disruption. Whether it is disrupting to the teacher/ professor, or to the OTHER STUDENTS in the class. The teacher/ professor has a responsability to teah a GROUP of people/ students. Nothing should interfere with their ability to do so. If it does, no one will be taught properly. Is it really that hard to wear things that don't disrupt other people's day to day responsabilities/ lives? If he wants to wear a dumb t-shirt, he should be willing to take the consequences, such as being asked to leave and put on appropiate gear.
How hard is that to understand?

The question is: did the shirt infringe on the dress code laid out in the rules and regulations of the school?

If not, it does not matter what the professor thinks. He is an employee of the school, not a scholarly god that can banish whomever he feels is "inappropriate."

lol at all the swinging dicks up in this thread hollerin' about what they would have told that fuckin' hippie, commie, professor. who is he to DARE suggest we adhere to cultural norms. THIS JUST ISN'T FAIR!!1!!111!

why I am entitled to wear profanity openly anywhere!

and fuck anybody who says differently, because you know, I am fresh...

welcome to the real world, where you really CAN'T do anything you feel like without consequence.

this is so stereotypical it almost isn't even worth getting involved in.

OTHER people pay to go to that class as well. Not just you, you selfish @!#$$%. So like a job, you effect what others experience.... it isn't the same, but its pretty close. This generation never learned what it means to cater or think about someone elses experience in this world. Keep thinking about your experience, not others. That should go over well.

I understand what you're saying, but I'm not getting paid to present myself in a professional manner like those who occupy a JOB.

If he feels it affects the rest of the class while he is teaching it, it is his responsability to do something. And it is his call, it's his job to make the call initially, not ignore something that can be deemed inappropriate or offensive to other peole in that class.

This is why i didn't choose "higher education". I like to think for myself, act for myself, and i really don't care a lot about what you think about that. I am not a good ass kisser. OP, you have two ways to go and only one is true to you. In 20-30 years you will know if you made the right choice.

Personally, i like to wake up and wave my dick around. If you don't like it , go away.

When I student taught I was expected to adhere to a certain dress code even though a.) It was a class at a college b.) I was paying to do it and c.) I wasn't getting paid to do it.

The point is, there are some situations, even if they aren't a JOB, that you are expected to dress a certain way. Wait, no, not even to dress a certain way, since you can basically go to class in pajamas. To break it down (hopefully) enough for you, there are certain situations in which you are expected not to wear shirts that say fuck on them. The professor felt it was inappropriate or distracting, therefore preventing him from doing his job, which is not to cater to you (surprise!), but to educate however many students are in his classroom. HIS classroom.

You can wear a shirt that says fuck sometimes, but not this time. Why is this so hard to understand?
