And what Ivy Leauge School did you go to Delatlanta?
Doesn't matter where I went to school. I am sure you have never head of it (Go Dawgs). I have gained a couple of important things by dressing a certain way and acting a certain way when at work, class, a formal event.
I would LOVE to be able to stick my finger up at the "man" and do what I want when it comes to dress, tattoo's, my attitude... but because of my career chioce, if I do so I give up the following things:
401k
Health Insurance
Company Car
PENSION (you may never, ever, ever see one of these)
Expense account
Free phone
Free internet
5 weeks of vacation
Travel all over the country
Ability to make my own schedule
I refuse to give up what I worked so hard for by bucking the status quo. Good luck in you endevors, I hope you figure out a job/ lifestyle that allows you everything you ever wanted. I have one, and I haven't had to sacrifice too much, just have to wear a polo shirt, hide my tattoos, and have a good attitude.
I've said my peace.
^This is why you should be your own boss if you want to act like you want to.
Edit. You better be Damn good at what you do as well.
I am very very good at what I do.
I dont need to be my own boss, but I do have customers that need to be kept happy. My work speaks for it self and while our work environment is not conducive to suit and tie or even casual dress. You need to have at least a semi professional appearance, we are being paid a lot of money to be there, and you need to respect the guys and organization that are paying for that, if you want more than 1 job or sometimes to even finish that one.
if your responsibility is school then you need to treat it as such, not be a little special snowflake being an ass hat with his garment choice.
that said even when I was 18-22 I would have been embarrassed as shit to wear a "fresh as fuck" t shirt.

I totally understand your position and why you treat your work like you do. And i respect that. I have been in similar situations and just wanted to point out to OP that if he wants to do it his way, nobody's got his back and its sink or fail. It is a substantial yoke to be your own man.
It's not a matter of giving a fuck or "doing it my way". I wore it one time, to three different classes today. The two other teachers had no issue with it-one even chuckled and commented on it. This shirt is not a reflection of my work performance/ethic nor on my attitude towards being a student. This thread got side tracked with jackass post referring to wearing it during a work related function. This is college, with college students-who have heard the word fuck before, and it shouldn't hinder their learning capabilities.
Besides, what constitutes a distraction? The kid playing Tetris on his lap top, the girl with her thong hiked up her back, the kid not even wearing a t-shirt, the middle eastern guy with a turban who blocks my view of the board, the clever students who turn their phones on vibrate thinking it's not distracting? The word distraction is subjective, different people are distracted by different things.
I'm going to continue with my shitty state school life, earn my grades with effort and hard work as I have, and aspire to be something more rewarding than a high school English teacher ;)
you are wearing a shirt that say fresh as fuck and you want to be treated as an adult???? dress more appropriately next time and come back with the result.

What is your point? Other people are being distracting so it's fine if you do it too?
Also, sick burn. I'm sure that selling weed will undoubtedly be more rewarding. One day I'll look back and think of all the time I could have been wearing a fresh as fuck t-shirt and peddling dirty shoes.
