I never knew I envied your aftermarket and factory support when I owned my 16V. In fact I never thought about it, as far as 16V's go. People never would of bought a 190E or 190E 16v over an E30 because every one and their mothers have E30, E30 M3's? Fuck might as well go buy a CIVIC V-Tech and mod it.
Ya you goon, 190's break like none other... AT 500,000k at the CLOCK! fool, Iv seen just as much blown up E30's as I have 190's. Both cars will last a long time, "they break" is pretty unspecific and I wouldn't not buy a 190 because, "they break." Im pretty damn sure eventually every car will break...They break. 1970s engine management. Wouldn't touch one unless it's a 5sp and something special (Cosworth, etc).

But how is the Cosworth faster with just as much HP? Plus the onlything you get when you buy a car is the Horsepower right??? or do you get interior as well or the title of owning a 16V orrr how bout Recaro??? ummm DOGLEG transmission, did I forget something?? fucker... If HP was the only thing people cared about then 100% would be in 800HP corvettes and not AMG or M cars....

Snitch, take your tri star glasses off. Seems to me, that the 2.3_16 was doing okay until the M3 came out. It cost more and had less power. We get it, you prefer the 190 but comparing the E30 M3 to a Vtec Civic? lol c'mon man, don't get laughed out of here. Don't get mad because the M3 is more popular than the 190 2.3_16 and most companies don't bother with it. So compared to the 190, the e30 might seem like a Civic with all the aftermarket support but the truth is it wasn't always like that. The E30 became a cult car over the years and more and more companies are catering to it now than ever before. They see a thriving market with the E30. If the 190 was so great, they'd probably have more of a following too. Is Bekkers even around anymore? BTW, I've met and hung out with many 190 guys on 190rev and most of them respect the M3. We have our preferences obviously but there should be a mutual respect.

Already settled this... E30 M3 is a great car no doubt.
I just feel your comments are more ignorant than they are correct. E30's are so popular now because you can get a cheap European car in manual transmission. If the 190 was so great in what way?? Sales?? Because that's the only thing that matters for aftermarket support, if the money is there so will the parts. Sure there is mutual respect, why wouldn't there be? Most people would love both cars in their garages. Maybe comparing it to a VTECH was a bit much, but so are most of the peoples comments on here regarding 190 VS E30. Once again like all BMW owners, so concerned with HP and cost, even still today with the current ///M and ///AMG cars. E30's have lost their personality in a way because of how the trend is taking them. That being said, buying one of them over the other is preference.

Ignorant? Wow. I been in the game since these cars were new and grew up with both cars. The 190 was more popular then than it is now! Meanwhile the opposite is true for e30s. Snitch, I don't make this stuff up. This has been my experience. To answer ur question ..bmw guys typically like to drive the car instead of cruise. In fact some 190 guys like to drive too. And its a little more fun having good power to weight ratio without breaking the bank. Most rather start with the best platform. Easy to add hp? Did u see the link I posted? On the flipside. I can easily add VDO gauges, reupholster my interior in full leather, add a woodgrain kit with gold emblems, reinforce everything making the car heavier in the process and talk about how well built it is. Exclusive is good when ur car is sought after. It works against u if its not. I don't think we care about being exclusive although there are some exclusive e30 models. So they aren't as exclusive, yet their value increases every year and u can hardly open a magazine without seeing one in it.
