Not my pic, but I bought a Pflueger President Limited Edition... very smooth reel. Bought it in a 30 size, for an upcoming backpacking trip to a prime trout lake. The current state record was set there a few years ago. We're looking to break it. It's 7 miles down a trail in the middle of 100,000 acres of wilderness. So it's not exactly a "hot spot".

Awww such a cute little wilderness you have at 100k ;) I kid I kid, Upstate NY is a place I really like and have considered moving too. the thing that kills it is the taxes and firearms laws for me.

Good luck, on your trip, I think I would be taking a fly rig with as well. For the weight they add to your pack, the capability is very worth it when you cant get them to bit on traditional sporting tackle.
