1st time was when I bumped a fuel pump switch installed by a po that was hidden by the pedals. That was shortly after I got the car and didn't know about it. Took me an hour or so to figure out why the fp wasn't getting voltage.
2nd time was when I drove the car without the cluster in. Learned the hard way that the alternator doesn't charge if the cluster isn't in. It died on me while I was in the left turning lane at an intersection, caused a bit of a scene. A cop was sitting in a parking lot at the same intersection and soon came over and pushed me across the intersection and into the driveway of a demolished house. Had a friend pick me up, take me back to my apt to get my cluster, drove back, installed cluster, jumped car cand drove home.
Each instance it wasn't the car's fault.Comment
