Never left me stranded, yet. Had an overheating problem for a while, but turns out that the system just hadn't been rebled properly.Comment

funny you should say that, i had a habit occasionally of running the tank a lil low, but the range would still say i had about 20-30 miles to go, but i would run out. thankfully the few times it happened it happened right around the corner from my apartment hahaComment

A few times, but nothing catastrophic.
First time, my pressure plate blew.
Second time, I snapped the shifter rod thing(not the carrier, but the thinner rod, I forgot what it's called).
Third time, my transmission finally blew after whining for a month or so (bought a spare prior knowing it was a time-bomb anyways)Comment

Driving down the road in my old 87 325es. Alternator belt slipped off. Power steering belt completely flew off. Car died. I costed over the the shoulder. Popped the trunk and used the factory toolkit to get the alternator belt back on and went on my way. Like a boss!

Only because of me being stupid. Finished up my turbo install and was in a hurry to go on the first drive and such. Filled it with oil while parked on my driveway, which is a pretty good hill. Well, I get a good 15 or 20 miles away and notice that anything above 2500 rpm it started smoking. I was driving it very, very gingerly so I hadn't gone above that before then. I then got on the highway and it pretty much fogged the entire 4 lane highway. I rented a uhaul trailer and towed it home fearing the worst, but it turned out it was just way overfilled with oil. Yeah, not one of my brighter moments.Comment

Stranded on the side of the freeway in Santa Barbara with a faulty fuel pump. We had the backseat up trying to tap on it with a screwdriver for 150 miles...It almost worked

Only once was I stranded. Fucking selector rod snapped on me. Had to call my dad to have him bring the shop truck with a chain and have him pull me back to the shop.
Trans has given out on me twice, but I was still able to get around. Once, the trans got stuck in 3rd gear and another time, the 1/2 shift fork broke. So, technically, I wasn't stranded.
