The G5? Just find someone who isnt smoking crack on craigslist and buy the empty shell for $100, then put a Dual X5650 build inside it.

Yeah you could build a 12 core 64gb machine way cheaper than cl tards would ask for one...

I like computers.

I have a couple builds completed and in progress. Two x99, two x79, three AM3. All liquid cooled. Well, two on closed loop coolers and the rest on custom loops.

Yeah itll be fine, just noisy. Only real reason I got a noctua one right away after my Corsair one. Corsair one was almost as noisy as stock.

My system is actually really quiet. Surprised the hell out of me. I need to reinstall MSI Kombuster and run the benchmark again. Then I'll probably run some of the stress tests, see how everything holds up. Playing Witcher 3 max setting temps were 30-50* range. Really need to play with the settings (atm I'm still fighting to get Win10 set up correctly.

Shoulda got the normal K70 and used extra money on cpu cooler :P

Looks nice though, I really want my next GPU to be a gigabyte card.

CPU cooler next upgrade. Not too worried about it because I'm not planning to overclock for awhile, and this cooler is more than enough for stock.

Do some measuring first! I have the first gen 300 and my old 3 fan video card will not fit. I googled the card you listed and it's also a 3 fan design and pretty long. It may bump into the drive cage at the front.

My sisters husband has a 450D (not much bigger inside than a 300R), and his MSI 970 fit with plenty of room. (it's just slightly shorter by maybe a half inch than mine). I was going to do a little more looking before I pulled the trigger on one next week. Thanks for lookin out for me tho.

I have irrational wants to build more PC rigs just because, even if I have no purpose lined up for them.

me too i wish i lived in an area where that could be my job, but i live in a retirement community, so that does not work.

Finally got to update my sister, got a free motherboard and CPU from my sisters husband.

(I'll upload a pic a little later, tapatalk is being fucky)

Current specs:
Dell XPS 630i case
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard
Intel Core i5 3570k @3.40GHz
2x4GB DDR3 RAM (don't remember Manu.)
Gigabyte Windforce GTX970
Patriot Blast 240GB SSD (OS)
750GB HDD dump drive.

Bout to pick up a Corsair 300R case, Corsair K70 RGB keyboard, and a Logitech G502 mouse. Then I'm content with my set up. Might grab an intercooler and overclock my CPU later, but I'm not worried about it now.
