I would also like to mention that trying have the same air pressure going in as going out is helpful. Dead air or stale air stuck in the case is no good. If anything have slightly more air pulling out than going in is preferred. Cases are not air tight and exhaust fans will always pull air in from the gaps to make up for the intake fans cfm.

From my experience bottom case fans are pretty much useless. Even if you use a static pressure fan its hard to get some decent air flow from the bottom unless you elevate your case and create some space to pull air from so honestly it just creates more dust build up in more places.
