My house has time warner and its pretty terrible. its "faster" but even still i miss my verizon fios. 25mb constant with pings of 4-6 to anywhere.

Cant wait for laws to take effect for real.

I live in San Antonio and luckily we will be a google fiber city eventually... though it can't happen fast enough. I'm tired of TimeWarner jacking up my bill by a buck or two every few months. We pay $92/mo now for 150Mb/s. And that's after they JUST upgraded it for "free" from 50Mb/s.

I'm surprised they haven't been dropping their bills like crazy with Google rolling in.

Yeah it's terrible. Ping is shit, too. I don't understand why it is so bad. On campus is perfectly fine, but at my place it blows.

Home cable internet is shared between you and your neighbors.. So blame that neighbor downloading all that pron
