So the past 2 weeks has been "Fix up the Ford" time.
I replaced the steering pitman arm, idler arm, ties rods, sway bar end links, upper control arms/ball joints, and lower ball joints. I just ordered new 17x9 wheels, and BFG All Terrain K02's in 285/70R17. All thats left to replace are shocks, lower control arm bushings, shock mounts, and replace the heater core. When I get shocks for it, I might add a leaf to the back and tweak the torsion bars for an easy 2" lift. I don't want to jack it up too much because its my daily, and I'm already dreading my mileage drop from going from a 31" tire to a 33".
I ended up having to cut the pitman arm off of the steering box because it was seized to the point of bending the arms of the pitman arm puller.
Turns out the last person to pull the half shafts out (or maybe the factory? ) decided they didn't need any anti-seize or lube of any sort. It took a 5 ton 3 jaw puller (which had so much tension under it, the shaft was bending) and an air chisel wailing on the hub, with constant pressure on the puller being applied via breaker bar. Took us 3 days to figure out the solution to the problem, and about 45 minutes of wailing with the chisel on each side to get them both off. Also, the eccentrics for adjusting tow and camber on the upper control arms were MIA.
Going to get it aligned and inspected once the wheels come in, and hopefully knock out the heater core the following weekend. Excited to see it all put back together with the news shoes and get it cleaned up. I'll have to snap some pictures when I'm done.

It's a 2000 Ford F-150 Lariat extended cab 4x4 with the 5.4 Triton. Got 183k miles. I've put 10k on it in the year I've owned it, and only had it break down on me one time right when I got it due to a faulty positive battery cable.
