    ipad mini

what are your thoughts and who's getting it?

iPad mini has Apple Intelligence, 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, A17 Pro chip, supports Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C), in four colors.

Thought it was pretty brave for the dude to bash the nexus 7 during the keynote.

Pricing kinda blows on it imo, but then again; what apple product is actually affordable?

still torn on what tablet to purchase myself

I hate iPads (and I have one-it's my second). I'll reserve any judgement on the iPad mini until I use one.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

You can buy A kindle Fire HD 8.9in for that price.... or two Nexus 7's... Apple needs to stop it, now, all they do is re-brand other peoples tech anyway. The Cores are not even theirs...

Overpriced for what it is. As a marketing major, I should mention that Apple does an amazing job in their marketing campaigns for their various gadgets.

But as an educated consumer, I could never justify buying this, nor most other apple products. I don't hate Apple, they have done some impressive things, I just am a poor college student who's parents don't pay for his electronics.

If they came out with this size initially I wouldve bought one already. Unfortunately they came out with a huge slab that was impractical to just carry around IMO.

The ipad mini is a perfect size and large enough screen to enjoy vs their iphones. They wouldve made more money by coming out with this size first.

IMO only the iPhone is small enough to carry around. The regular iPad is no "slab" as you put it. The iPad Mini is too big to carry around for me. As far as they would have made more money? I doubt it. Back then people just wanted something smaller than a tablet PC. It filled that gap. Then as people wanted a size for every mobility, the iPad mini, Nexus 7 etc filled those gaps. Personally I carry my 11" Macbook Air everywhere, but it's expensive enough that I would rather carry a tablet when I am not comfortable, IE the track.

Before these tablets, I was comfortable carrying my 15" Macbook Pro. It has sat on a desk for the past 2 years now...and I have 3 other desktops to work with. Just an evolution of my work habits...

Wschnitz, Apple did design the cpu/core for their needs. However as usual, Apple themselves are not the company actually manufacturing the product.

Personally of all the non-Apple tablets, I think the Nexus 7 is the best, but alas Android for me is still an unrefined and frustrating experience. I do like the iTunes infrastructure, but not the organization, and any device I have must carry my media, and interact similarly to my other devices, so the iPad mini would be my choice.

^I mention the iPhone because for a good majority, most apps will run on all 3 devices.

I don't want to carry a phone AND a tablet. And I agree, with the above, the price seems fine.
