How much would a 1991 E30 4 cyl auto w/ 78k original miles go for?

    Probably upwards $5000.
How can you compare a Tempo to an e30? the e30 is categorized as "luxury", whereas the Tempo was intended to be cheap, mass transportation.
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

      it weighs 4400lbs too.

fuck that. That's like a full size truck. 350hp in a 4400lb car isn't really that impressive. Also, it only comes in automatic.

the 1st generation SHO was cooler in every way possible. The car itself is shit but the motor revs like a motorcycle and lasts forever. Of course nothing in the engine was made by Ford either.

Hey I didn't equalize ALL variables, I just opened up CL and this is one of the first cars I saw.

So... what American car would you compare to an E30?

        That's because it's a Yamaha motor.

          Also, a gripe about BMWs:

Why do they always have to get bigger and heavier? Also power increases are not that impressive over older models.

I wish BMWs (particularly Ms) would follow a similar trend as Corvettes and get huge power increases and negligible weight gain and size increase.

I wouldn't. There aren't any that would be a good comparison, they were in a totally different market. Much the same way that comparing a new Mustang to an M3 is stupid.... No one that is in the market for a new M3 is considering a Mustang, and no one who is in the market for a Mustang is considering a new M3.

It's like comparing a base-model C6 Corvette to a Lotus Elise, just because they happen to be somewhat similarly priced.

This is my biggest complaint about anything new. Every new car is too damn heavy.

Haha, I saw one at an autocross. It handles terribly. But autocross is definitely a weird discipline where a 110hp Honda can hand you your ass.

I have come to the conclusion that auto makers who use letters in parts numbers usually manufacture shitty cars.

actually, I think that's the point.

Mr. Honda is like.. well, I only have 1/3rd the power, but you weigh 4x more you fat fucking pig.

edit: Ford Europe and USA are like two completely different car companies imo anyways...

edit: edit altho out of the new lines off trucks I think Ford got the best line-up with the Raptor, that's alot of fun, I have yet to drive a newer Chevy truck tho'.
They generally always have been, but I feel that they're finally starting to share a bit. Hence the Fiesta, new Focus, etc. It's a good sign.
