There is no arguing that certain mods can be shall we say "moody" and this would not substantiate a fair course of action on members that may of picked the wrong time to comment, or share certain views.

Therein lies the weakness in my opinion.
Especially for a paying member who may have a different view/ standpoint on certain matters that do not coincide with what admins may support.

Its somewhat of the police officer way of thinking, some have different trigger points and while I certainly do my best (as do the other admins) to monitor moderation of the forum, sometimes we certainly have some slip through, human nature? poor guidance? the answer/blame is usually on my shoulders no matter how you look at it.

Now, we are not tracking paid members, as we don't have any, simply members who have donated, so if they feel as if some wrongdoing has occurred I can only offer to work with them on resolution.

Not a single issue with donating.

Just sent everything in my paypal account. Will refill it and donate monthly.

The site has given me the opportunity to track my favorite possession, down to the date I installed things and bought it.

Hell if I matched how much I put into my E30, or how much I spend on beer a month the site wouldn't have much worries.

I feel proud to be part of this community. 5-10 dollars a month should be a small price to pay to access everything this site has to offer, restriction free.

To those crying about being asked to voluntarily donate one dollar, if you can, you are free to bounce. Hell, someone that stingy would probably be a shitty friend in real life anyways.

Myster-E is the other one, they don't run a banner so they have a stuck thread instead.

Maybe charge a dollar per for sale ad? Most people seem to sell items over $100 so its like 1% fee. That should work pretty well I think.

Not everyone has Paypal, myself included. I use the other halfs or sell things locally/picked up.

We try to handle it in a case by case manner. I for one try to not ban people, I would rather talk to the offender and maybe do a time out than ban someone. I think I have only banned 4 people. 3 of which were bad sellers/ scammers.

I would like to see what actually transpired to cause him to be banned.

Even having a yearly membership wouldnt be terrible as long as there was also a free option.
Another idea is to perhaps sell t shirt and stickers and use the profit to support the website.

But they are? I've had them do cylinder head work for me in the past and they cut me a great deal.
