Lucky is my favorite and you can typically find them pretty discounted if you look around for it.

Being a very tall and slender guy, what worked for me after two entire days of shopping was structure jeans.

In the passing time I have spent over 700.00 on raw denim. More research and learning on denim than I ever thought I would.

Currently just found selvedge denim that r3v would love ;)

Now I own Roy denim, RRL, Gustin(two pairs) Levis

The Roys are by far the most extensive(& expensive) hand made denim I own. One guy, on turn of the century machines. They are works of art. Now Gustin is considered a sub 130.00 denim company that makes great jeans at a great cost. Entry level I guess.

Now let's get down to the Arizona; true selvedge 100% cotton raw denim. Slim fit straight tapered, it is a nice modern cut with tons of room for activities. The fit and finish is better than Gustin by a long shot. I had loose ends on my Gustins(not an issue). These are just perfectly straight and the fit is AMAZING!

        On to pictures:

This shirt is more of a slight taper, so it does not really show how well the denim fits on the waist(forgot to tuck). I have a 47" chest and a 37" waist. These are 18.75" laid flat in a 36x34. I expect to gain 3/4" shrink with a wash and about .5" broken in.

Copper rivets, over stitched back pockets.

The weft is an REALLY nice slight grey and a classic red ID edging.

There is two selvedge details, one is on the left right loop. The other is on the right side coin pocket.
The ones I am wearing above are the 'Selvedge color'(indigo). They have a slubby weft and warp where these(rinsed blue wash) are more of a clean warp and weft.

        LOVE LOVE LOVE the pockets.

Some companies are getting on the selvedge band wagon with fake edging for only the cuff. I was unsure when first buying them. This proves they are 100% real selvedge.

What does selvedge mean in this context? I always thought it referred to it as the excess material cut off after a seam is sewn.

Tomorrow I will be updating my Gustins with one wash in 3 months. They are gorgeous! Gustin makes some great jeans, just wished the cut was a bit less saggy.

I met you once before, those skinny jeans were baggy on you. I understand, doubt these would interest you.

How many wears is that in 3 months? I don't think I've gone more than 10-12 wears before washing.

I have worn them everyday since I got them in August. Give or take 5 days for slacks. I have roughly over 125 days of wear into my Gustins.
They do not stink, I think it is due to being around leather all day(I smell like fresh leather). I also hang them outside at night to freeze(kills bacteria that you would get from wear).

I already have honeycombs on the back of my legs and heavy wear on my belt buckle area. Also sides of my knees from rubbing on the counter support while doing leather goods. Wallet in my front pocket and cell phone in my back right. Also traces from my daily carry, Benchmade knife and chapstick.

Granted I do not giving a flying fuck about 90 bucks. I beat the LIVIN HELL out of these. Stain from leather, crawling around on the construction site. You cannot baby denim, wear it in your daily life and it becomes part of your daily routine/life. Each pair tells what life you lead.

Started out as raw selvedge Levis matchsticks. Ocean soak and maybe 2 washes in ~2 years of wear.
They're now being retired as my dailies in lieu of Gustins.
Those Arizonas are really intriguing though...

Can you post a picture? I'm interested to see how they wear in.

Do they last longer than regular washed jeans? I could get into this.

                              Hey.

Thanks for the tip! Just ordered (2). While the price went up on the selvedge a bit, I scored the rinsed for an even deeper discount...plus they had an additional 10% off (TICKTOCK) code so it all came out. The rinsed pair was only $14.39!

Take care and I need to get things in order to get some custom leather goods! Your work looks really on point.

i really like j crew pants. but i prefer some that have a little stretch to them. mainly cause i skateboard a bunch. so i will wear skateboard brands often: like krew, quicksilver. sometimes you can find levi 511 slim skinny in stretch but they are harder to find. my pants are usually slim
