Favorite classic video game

lots of awesome ones metioned already. Some good ones i havent seen mentioned are
for the original playstation: tekken, soul blade, ridge racer, original tomb raider, crash bandicoot, final fantasy VII, worms amageddon, silent hill, grant turismo 2.

NES: duckhunt, robocop, tmnt 2, most of the other good ones have already been mentioned.

n64:starwars episode 1 racer, nfl blitz, mario party, 1080 snowboarding, wwf no mercy, super smash bros, golden eye

anyway, I thought of a couple others - streets of rage 1 & 2 (the alternate ending for the first one was badass), the soundtracks were usually fantastic too



people hated the 3rd one but I liked that as well..

I think a lot of these earlier 16 bit games had a huge effect on the kind of music I like as an adult, and I'm sure I'm not alone. this guy was a rock star to kids like me lol:

How many of you dreamed and drooled over the NES Power Glove ads in Nintendo Power magazine for months before Christmas, counting down the days only to open it up, connect it and realize it was a massive pile of shit?



My parents wouldn't buy me the N64 when it came out, so I decided to sell all of my old game systems (NES, SNES and Sega Genesis) to fund the N64. This was before eBay and way before craigslist, so I resorted to the BBS boards to find buyers, sold everything COD. My mom was really impressed for some reason, I guess selling stuff across the country was at the time a new thing. Anyway, we then waited in the rain on black friday to get my coveted N64. Oh man, that was a big deal.

remember those contest ads for the ultimate system collection? they'd give you one of every system and game that was out at the time. I don't think I ever heard of somebody winning one.

Halo 1, the first of what shaped the future of gaming as we know it. And COD is fucking shit, hence why 'Skilled' COD players could never get higher than a 30 in Halo 3 ;)
