I got the jist that it's not really liveable with, but if you're going to get a track car... might as well. My favorite bit about American sports cars is that they get 500 hp out of 7 liters. That's what I call a champion effort.
You do realize that this is a small block chevy with big block displacement right? The motor is physically smaller and lighter than an m30.

Haha Jeremy Clarkson is such a douche. I have heard that it's a pleasure to drive on the road not to mention it gets 18/21, Ferarri probably barely gets 10. Good review though.

Actually, Motor Trend and Popular Science both tested the car and said the same thing. Chevy told MT basically that they did not design it for the street and that road noise and some discomforts were expected. But it's like buying a Lotus Sport Exige. Who the fuck cares if it's noisy and has a plastic dash? It still does 0-60 in less than 4 seconds and sticks to the road like cold grilled cheese.

I agree with the gas millage though. That V12 doesn't exactly sip fuel.

I don't hate the car, I love it. My mom has owned @ 7 in her lifetime. They are awesome. What isn't awesome is how your buddy almost makes a ford ranger his hood ornament. I know, I know, the guy in the Ranger should have been aware there was a faster car behind him. But driving like that on a crowded highway with that kind of HP is super dangerous! I hope your freind has taken driving lessons.
As far as the weight stats go, no kidding!!!! How much did an 87 vettes motor weigh?

The z06 is fast, but it's still a hick ride, and i'll be damned if i ever drive a hick ride. Give me an 06' M6, in interlagos blue. I don't care about numbers alone, and if i did, I would judge all people based on their wieght/height/strength/IQ. OR, for a helluva lot cheaper, give me an e30, wich i will turbocharge and build the shit out of, put an equal amount of work into the suspension/brakes/wheels/tires, give a very nice paintjob, and build the body to my favorable spec, and then take the finished product to a corvette meet, and proceed to blow the doors off anyone who attempts to match me and my little sub 20 thousand dollar brick on the circuit and/or road course of their choice. I think actually i woud rather have that than the m6.

"Having won more road races than any other model in history, the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the world's most successful road race car." - Simply put, E30s kick ass.

Anything American is a hick ride, right?

If there's one American car that I don't call a hick ride, it's the new Z06. The thing handles its the pants off anything the europeons are putting out. It's got 500hp also, but it's not a drag queen like most other American v8s. Sub 8 minute Nurburgring can attest to that.

Uhhhhh sorry man but do you realize what people call bimmer owners???? Especially the newer ones? Vette may be a "hick" ride, but an M6 represents a "prick" ride in most people's eyes.

Maybe no one understands me? I don't care what meaningless sheep think about myself or the things I own, or the reasons behind why those two principles of my being are that way. I do what I like with things I like, and I don't like the cliche of every rich hick owning a corvette and thinking it is untouchable, and i don't like hicks, and i don't like corvettes, and i don't like GM... 5 litre v10 with 507hp and over 8000 RPM capability FTW! Pushrods and leafsprings are for trucks.

No, there are also a lot of american "bitch" rides. The ratio of hick to bitch rides made by americans is something like 50/50 if i remember correctly.
