    e30 roof mount antenna mod?

sorry if this is the wrong place to post, if so, please re-locate mods

Anyway, wondering if there's a p/n for an antenna re-locate to the place the e30 m3's have it? My stock antenna works properly and all, just kinda tired of cleaning/lubing it to extend properly.

If anything, my 07 Focus has a roof mount one and I might just head out to the wreckers and pull one from a crashed car and get the body shop to retrofit it into my ride...cheaper and just as effective?

    thanks in advance
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

I suggest you refrain from drilling there....Mount an internal one or Z3/318Ti style vs drilling new holes in the body of your car.

You could just convert to a fixed antenna like the one on my car.

My slicktop came with what remained of the factory touring/M3 antenna. Someone retrofitted it for their car phone at some point. I was able to order a new one from Blunt a few years ago (around $90), but I can't speak to its availability now. To install you literally drill a 10mm hole in the roof. The antenna assembly does the rest.

I've thought about removing/filling my antenna setup (draws power while off) and connecting the antenna to the rear defrost grid.
