    Any electrical nerds here?

    Hi.
I bought his signal booster and got the wrong frequency. I looked
for the right frequency but can't find it, just this one.

It's basically like a wifi signal booster but for 125khz. Is it possible just to switch the component that receives/transmits that frequency?
Thanks for looking I don't know anything about this. There's this brass screw it doesn't seem to do anything.

I don't think it's going to work out for you, but Is it for a 125khz application and you need a different frequency or do you need 125khz and it's not for that frequency? What do you need a 125khz signal booster for, RFID?

What I have is for 315mhz I think
but I needed one 125khz, it's not for rfid but I understand it's on the same frequency as those cards though.
You would think it would be easier to find since those are real common.

You're not going to be able to re-purpose this. Time to put it up on ebay.

What, specifically, do you need? What's the application?

I think something like this would be perfect except there needs to be some sort of amplifier
or something to extend the range from acouple mm to like 20 ft.

Rf stuff is weird. I know zip-zero about it - other then surface stuff. It's practically black magic these days (like really, all the old school guys that know it are retired)

If you played with that "brass screw" - you can most likely put it in the trash. Still not sure what you are trying to do. Extend the range of what?!>!>

if the product you bought only reaches 315mhz and you need 125khz, I don't think you'll be able to adjust it that far even if you had a way to know what frequency it was at (you'd need a scope, btw). Usually whatever adjustment is built into something like that might be 10-20%, but 125khz is like several orders of magnitude less than 315mhz.

Are you trying to fool an RFID card access lock?

No. It's not card or a tag it's like proximity
                      type of thing.

                      125khz from the lock
                      to the key
the key sends 315mhz back to the lock.

315mhz can go pretty far maybe like 20ft?
but I need something for 125khz to go just as far.

I'm thinking that chinese rfid reader somehow put an antenna on the writer portion with an amplifier.
                      idk.

There is no 'replacing the component", the entire circuit is based on the frequency crystal, tuned to it, and built around it using different spec components than what will be for a 315mhz frequency.

What exactly are you trying to do, chances are you're going about it all wrong.
