Barb was the most hilariously ignored character in season 1. It almost feels deliberate as a setup, but she wasn't looking too good. I'm also confused by the damage to the monster. The kids completely wrecked it, it was bleeding everywhere and ON FIRE, then it's totally fine and back to shrugging off bullets by the hundreds. It suggests more than one monster, which generally makes more sense aside from 11's comment just before she Jesuses one out of existence.

Yeah, I think Barb is coming back to. Just before the rescued Will, he had the organism-tube-thing in his throat as well, and he survived. The only thing that leads me to believe that she may be a gonner is El's saying that she was "gone".

There are a bunch of errors in the show that don't put it in one specific year - I think it was more of a budget thing.

The skateboards had little wheels, which didn't emerge until '90 or so.

Awesome show. It's like the writers were a fan of ET, Goonies, and a bunch of other 80/90's classic movies (x-files?) - and mixed it all up to make something new. Totally worth a watch - right after you watch "Making a Murder" and and the OJ thing first.

I wasn't too keen on it being a "monster" kind of show to be honest. But at least it wasn't vampires or zombies(so over done already). That's my only gripe.

As soon as I saw that scene, I knew this was going to be a good series. Loved every second of it!!! I binged watched it and finished it in a few days...(wish I hadn't)

I too have my own speculations for S2. Can someone clarify for me and let me know if Barb is still alive? I remember seeing a girl in The Upside Down that looked similar to her but I'm not sure. Maybe Barb comes back as the new monster for Season 2????

Aside from that, amazing show. Just saw the first episode.

Music, costumes, cast etc all work wonderfully with one another
