When a band is green, it's really fucking green. Not a shade of yellow-green. Green bands are really, really green. It's one of the few colors on a resistor you can see very clearly. Red is another.

The people that make resistors don't try to play tricks on you or make it hard to read. And I know it's a painting and all - but still. Stop being a retard - or go get your eyes checked. Might help you with your pictures too.

I understand that you learned how to read resistors - and that's really special for you, but I can tell you don't do it in practice, or you wouldn't be arguing with me. That's very clear.

but you took the wrong approach here. you tried to argue with people over the observation of color alone. which is ridiculous for two reasons:

1. color is subjective.
2. color is relative.

that "green" stripe everyone is arguing about is more yellow than anything else. it simply looks "green" in comparison to the beige background, which has far less cyan.

this "green" stripe, when broken down into cymk reads like this:

C: 28
M: 36
Y: 100
K: 3

(k stands for key. which represents black.)

as you can see, the color is definitely more yellow than anything else. to further drive home my point and demonstrate how color really is relative, i have created the below graphic. which is this disputed color on an actual green background.
