    new house

some pics of my new house, in various stages of finishing and moving in. just got a kitchen table yesterday, still need a couch for the great room, and get my housemate to remove the crappy paintings from the formal room :D

I'm sharing a 2600sq ft. house with 2 good friends, and hopefully I will never have to rent or live in a shitty place ever again. the mortgage is $2700 a month but we got the house well under market value so I'm already ahead of the game, plus I'm not wasting money on rent. :)

and of course the most important room in the house:

You'd be lucky to get a place like that for under 6k per month in L.A.

Hell I am paying 3300 for an 1800sq ft condo.

      Congratulations!

$3300 a month is considered a good wage around here, even before taxes.

how's that? you don't get any equity back if you rent.. as it is, my share of the equity is already $10k. we expect to put it on the market in 4-5 years, somewhere around the time when the Olympics come to Vancouver BC. or we will pull out the equity and use it for new investments. this isn't my dream house and none of us are planning on living here forever - and you won't be able to do any of the stuff we are planning by paying rent. ;)

eh, friends and money. as long as you arent planning on keeping it. it's doable there, but property tax would be killer down here.

A shithole in crackville here goes for a grand. In Manhattan a rat infested closet in crackville is 1500.

Shit, it looks like someone left the door open and a cat got in. Better kill it before it pisses on your carpet.

nando, that looks like a great house. Looks very nice!

If I tell you guys what I'm paying for rent in my house, you'll probably all kill me.

Ah, fuck it. 1600 Sq. Ft., 3 bed, 2 full bath, 2 car garage, shop behind garage w/ power, built in late 80's $850.
