Yeah i just looked it up and Anaheim has the most annoying blade length limit ever, Its 2.5 inches, shorter than anywhere else in the OC or LA county, heres the law
Municipal code 6.32.010Dangerous or Deadly Weapons Defined, states the term "Dangerous or Deadly Weapons" as used in Sections 6.32.010 through 6.32.050 of this chapter includes, but is not limited to, any dangerous or deadly weapon within the meaning of any law of this State restricting the use thereof; any dirk or dagger; any ice-pick or similar sharp stabbing tool; any knife of any description with a blade the sharpened or cutting portion of which is 2 and a half inches or more in length; any straight-edged razor or any razor blade fitted to any handle or holder; any cutting, stabbing or bludgeoning weapon or device capable of inflicting grievous bodily harm; any club, billy, blackjack, sap, palm shot, chain or any container filled with metal, sand, soap, salt or other substance designed to be used, or capable of being used as a striking or bludgeoning weapon or device capable of inflicting grievous bodily harm; and any firearm other than:

sub section .0101 carried pursuant to valid permit issued by duly authorized governmental authority; or .next in sub section .020Any ordinary rifle or shotgun lawfully carried for purposes of hunting or other lawful purpose. End of code, so basically in Anaheim you cannot have a blade over 2 and a half inches.

Its retarded and what it sounds like is disney lobbied to have stricter laws put in place. Also you did the right thing by not saying anything to that fucktard

Some strict laws here! I would have been fine but we walked through the park side first and in that area they have bag checks and I guess look at people's pockets.

Lol yeah it wasn't worth saying anything back, I just laughed and smiled and said i miss Arizona. Also didn't want to jeprodize being let into the park tomorrow. They don't mess around with security it seems. Which is a good thing

Yeah it sucks because in some places you can carry anything you want short of an Auto or Balisong, but you go to Sacramento proper and you can't even carry a swiss army knife there

That's so confusing. Do they enforce it?

I probably push the buttons more than I should. I don't think id be able to pull the, "I'm from Arizona", like you sometimes can when getting pulled over

Until you get to the coast and like Sacramento you don't really haft to worry a ton, La is a 3 inch carry limit on open carry, but for some reason if you just drop the knife deeper into your pocket (not clipped) they don't care how big it is, pretty much the same for San Francisco... Insert stereotypical I am not a lawyer don't follow my advice don't be stupid stuff here

I bought a Shield in .40 although I wanted the 9mm. basically, the deal was too good to pass up, so now I own my first .40.

Also bought my gf a Glock 26 in 9mm as well. Both shoot very well, although the Shield is a better concealed carry gun hands down. Slim profile and shoots well. Good balance, too. Compared to Glocks and XDS's, which I find too fat and too top-heavy.

If you were taller/bigger, I'd say it doesn't make much of a difference, but it does. The Shield will conceal great on your frame size.

But you really can't go wrong with any of your choices.
"I really liked the 9mm Shield I shot. It was the perfect balance of controllability and concealability for its size. It was a range rental gun and it jammed fairly consistently. Probably every third mag or so it would have a fte. It doesn't sound like its a common problem and it was probably just a combination of being dirty and worn. "

I haven't shot the 9mm but the next time i go i'll def give it a try.

                        Haha you're not a lawyer?!

That's pretty funny rules. I get why there are in place but a knife to me is such a tool I forget about the crazies that actually stab people with them. It was funny I counted 3 guys in disneyland while waiting in lines, with knives poking out of their pockets

Oh well, it was a great weekend for dads 50th!

Now I need to hit the range this week. Been to long :(

its like anything else the cop has a choice weather to enforce the law, a lot of times they don't, sometimes they do, pretty much everyone that carrys a knife considers them a tool, but a lot people (who are wrong) consider them weapons, which is funny because folders make terrible weapons, something like a machete would be much preferred.
Yeah my uncle is taking me shooting in the desert this weekend, haven't gone for a while so it should be fun

Just picked this up. 38spl, 4 inch, made about the same year I was. It had some modern finger groove grips, but I replaced them with some vintage Goncalo Alves. One curiosity, I thought these models had recessed cylinders, but this one doesn't, maybe sleeve or vdubin can shed some light on that. Haven't shot it yet, but my experience with these early fixed sight smiths makes me hopeful it will be pretty much POA/POI.
