I agree with this post. My brother picked up the Sig Spartan a few months back and that thing is pure sex, then again it better be for around $1200. (Totally worth the price and then some)

Its just not the a true to spec 1911 and that is why the purest have their issues with them. But for me its just another gun to the collection. And lets just say I picked this one up for under $600. So I could not go wrong and it turned out to be an amazing shooter!

Wow for ~600 you stole it. They go for 900+ used in my area.

Honestly if i was in the market for a new 1911 in the 1200-1500 range, I would be looking at STI's offerings. They are custom guns at production gun costs.

Yeah, that is what I was saying... I had to. I also got 7 wilson mags all 8 rounders and 1 ten rounder. I got a new Serpa holster, a box of ammo and two mag pouches.

Total cost with gun in box out the door was $750.

The STI's are really nice! I would not mind owning one. What I wanted to do was to find a Springfield Mil-spec and build it out. when I came across this deal, that idea went out the window. :)

well went back out to the range with the Sig. The only ammo I could find this time was Blazer Brass and though everything went bang, it was quite dirty and would get a few fliers at times.

Anyways, shooting 5 round groups at 7 meters.

First 5 were slow, the second was a bit faster. I think with some hand loaded rounds this pistol will be a spot on shooter!

Same here on the HK. I wanted that exact gun, but I could not find one around here to hold before I bought. Ended up with FNH FNX-40. I really like it, but I have a feeling I might still end up with that HK.

Anyone have an M&P Shield .40 ?? I was thinking of getting one but the recalls are kind off pushing me toward a glock 27 .40 or the g26 9mm. Looking for an concealed everyday carry under $550 in a .40 I've fired both and liked them but was leaning more toward the Shield because of the slimmer profile.
I've also fired the xds .45 and fell in love with it except that grip saftey was a bit annoying..

Any other recommendations? I'm 5'7 about 165lbs if that helps.

                          Expert Opinion Dump needed....

I'm looking into .22 a lot, and have fallen for the Tactical Solutions products, and am thinking about the Buck Mark with their barrel and bits, and a 10/22 with their bits as well. I want to support a business in my state, and I want to buy something I can dump a lot of rounds through to gain proficiency at being able to pass on along to other, more costly per round equipment.

                          So?

The owner once offered to trade me gun stuff for the shit I was selling, didn't have a glock yet so It wasn't really useful. Nice guy. Have you called and talked him?

I've used the Glock conversion and liked it.

Nah, I haven't. I was thinking maybe I'll come out and meet/check it out in person. I am really a hands on kind of person, so I wanna see what their stuff feels like, but I like what they are putting down. I tried asking in three local shops, and they told me they wouldn't sell their stuff and wouldn't tell me why, so I thought there might be some reason I am unaware of.

Thats weird. He said Cabelas sold their stuff. I don't know if they still do. I know there are a few other places here in the valley that do. Boise Gun Co. does and they are pretty big around here.

If you come out this amazing side of the state we'll have to go shoot some guns if you have time.
