I would, but I'm working on the E30 this Sunday. Need to get the a/c sorted out before it gets too much hotter.

          Cause I need to:

          Drain coolant
          Remove radiator
          Replace condenser
          Replace thermostat
Replace factory aux fan with Spal 16" (custom)
          Replace compressor
          Replace expansion valve
          Flush system
          Refill coolant
          Refill R134

That should only take 3 hours or so, but it'll end up taking me more than half the day cause I usually end up dicking around "while I'm in there".

Jackrabbit and I10 is also like an hour away from my place, I usually go to the range out at Usery or find a spot near 4 peaks. Damn urban sprawl...

Went to wally world today to check out ammo.

They had nothing that I wanted, although they always have .40 white box. I am down to 50 rounds of .40 not counting the JHP I keep it loaded up with.

I guess I should snag some of that. Hmm, this post now seems better suited for the nonsense thread.

ETA: I went to Dicks the other day to snag a winter jacket for my wife (end of season purchases, 40-50% off FTW). Dicks was loaded with ammo, had plenty of bulk 9mm, .40, .308, ect. Stocked full on the shelves and more boxes on the ground full of the stuff. I will be going back there on pay day. Not sure if it's the same case for everyone, but I'm thinking not too many people think to go there for ammo.

I was at my local Walmart last night, they had zero .40, not even white box. Tons of .45 whitebox. I went looking to get a box of HydraShok since they had it in .40 last time I was there, but all they had was .380 lol

So you're telling me you just pull off the side of the road, walk into the desert and shoot?

God I wish I had places like that around here.

Closest place to me that I have yet to check out is a privately run campground, but it's an hour and a half away. All the other local ones require hourly charge or membership, which I don't feel like dealing with either. NRA headquarters is close to me and is supposed to be a state of the art indoor range, but I hear it's always packed. Though I am a member so I guess I should probably go get my money's worth.

How do you guys feel about the old habit of not keeping magazines fully loaded to reduce spring wear? I think it's bullshit and haven't seen any evidence of it actually being true.

I keep 3 out of 4 mags for my 4013tsw loaded, constantly. It was my first handgun I bought when I turned 21, so that's been 6 years now and they all function flawlessly.

I call BS, as long as we're talking quality mags.

Plus, I have read that cycling the spring puts more wear than staying compressed.

See, that makes more sense to me.

I just looked up the NRA headquarters range and I think I'm going to check it out on Friday. It's only 12 miles from me!

It's an hourly rate but I can deal with $15/hr. It's been too long since my last range session. I doubt they will be that packed at 9:00pm on a Friday night. Or at least I hope not, I'll probably call them up to find out the least crowded times.

Wife and kid go back to MD on Friday so Grandparents can watch the kid while my Wife works 2 days a week. Gives me some daddy time, and the range sounds like a perfect way to spend it. Not to mention I have 200 rounds of 9mm just itching to be fed through the LC9. From what I have been reading I'll be tired of shooting it after 50 or so though. Either way, I'm determined to get in some trigger time.

Yeah, I've had my Glock 23 since the beginning of the month and haven't had a chance to go shoot it yet lol

I need to get out and shoot but it gets old shooting in 20 degree weather.
