My AR actually, to me, is not very loud at all.

I dont own a handgun, yet!, so the AR is the HD weapon of choice as the 12ga isnt as mobile. It stays under my bed ready to go incase I need it. We have had quite a few armed break in's this past year so can never be to careful.

I am with this guy, I bought a brand new stag arms AR-15 (sold it a few weeks ago), and I shot 340 rounds with it, it's not that loud.

My AR has a 14.5" barrel with perm. attached PWS FSC556 brake. Its seemingly twice as loud as my friends 16" bbl with A2 flash suppressor. The last time at the range we were both shooting at adjoining lanes and people were coming up to me and asking what caliber my AR was because it was so loud. Everyone thought it was a .308 AR next to his 5.56. When I was building my AR I didn't focus on building it for HD. If It were to get that role I would have to swap out the muzzle brake.

its the break that's causing you to hear and feel the blast from the rifle. Change that out with a phantom or something and its much better. Or better yet go class 3 and get a can for it. I can shoot mine inside my house and not wake up the family! :p

Im sure there is. Ive ordered from them say 10 times or so, and every time has been spot on. They run some good specials and their prices are about as good as one would get outside of being a dealer.

You know as well as I do that this has been going on and been tried to be pushed though since slick willy in 96, matter of fact it was this very issue that I 1st heard of George Soros back in 98 or so.

Well while its something to be very very watch full and leery of. I dont think there is a real threat of it going though the senate for ratification, at least not right now anyway. To many pro gun Dems that would sooner kill farm subsidies than go near the 2ed amendment even via the back door like this. I would really be more worried about it comming in the lame duck after the 2012 election after dick head loses, or sometime in his 2ed term if he wins.

But yeah I do agree that those Ominous words form the ass-hat-in-chief point to this very idea. After all its one of the primary goals and corner stones, to his boss's (soros) wet dream world open society and we are the one thing standing in the way of that, mostly due to our 2a.

I think many in the Senate know they dont have a chance in 2012. With civil unrest at the doorsteps, I fear many of them with think they dont have an option but to ratify it. In fear for their own. I could be chicken little...

dub that could be a possibility as well I dont deny that. I think I just have a touch more faith in people than most who think like we do.

Either way keep buying cheep and stacking deep. I will not be complying this these new UN rules if it comes to that. My part of the country will be a very dangerous place for anyone trying to enforce such things as well. One of the biggest reasons I moved here, is a very strong opposition to govt intrusion
