damn! Did anyone watch the weigh-ins!!?? That was intense; This may very well be one of the best fights I've watched in terms of really looking forward to it and all the shit that comes with it. This is a huge fight for MMA fans, oldschool, newschool, and newbschool (maybe not so much them), MMA in Brasil, the UFC middleweight division, Silva and Belfort...

A couple of friends of mine (also Brasilians) are friends with Nogueira, hung around with him and showed him around town when he was in town helping to promote a training. Long story short, it was stated Belfort shared some insight he had with Couture prior to his fight with Rodrigo. This and the fact that Belfort used to train with Silva and now has accepted this fight etc has created much beef.

I didn't really know it was to this extent though. Silva has never acted like this in a weigh-in. He genuinely is taking this one very personal. I honestly believe he is a bit intimidated by Belfort. Silva has become somewhat of a dick so I'm a bit torn on how to feel about this fight. I guess I just want an awesome and true fight, and as they say, may the best man win.

I agree Forrest and Franklin are no longer relevant, but I think they're both gonna go in a slug it out, which should be entertaining.

As for Bader, I wouldn't call him the Fitch of 205 because he actually gets the occasional KO and TKO. Fitch just fucking lays on people.

Griffin and Franklin are no longer relevant. I think it's going to be pretty lame. Forrest is tough as nails, and that may have cut it during TUF Season 1, but he's overmatched in just about every fight. He's riding his name and past to a paycheck.


Bader has no chance against Jones. Bader is the John Fitch at 205, and unfortunately for him he won't be able to smother Jones.

The Griffin/Franklin fight is gonna be good, I think its gonna be a 3 round slugfest unless Franklin can KO Griffin.

The Jones fight should be a lotta fun, I think Jones might come in expecting to roll over him though..

wow, Cyborg blew it, eating punches unnecessarily, backing up instead of circling. And WTF, could female Cyborg seriously not keep from crying? That was bullshit! I've never been a fan of his, but another belt in Brasil and Diaz losing would have been ok with me. At least Jacare successfully defended his belt.

Greg Nagy sucks. He should be doing something else. But I had no idea Walker was fighting. The guy has always been cut. A win is a win though. Have to give the guy praise for fighting at that age.
