The catch was great, and the throw was probably better. It was thrown where only his man could get it, and no one else. Just over the finger tips of the defender, and just in reach of Holmes. That was one of the best game ending catches (if not the best) in superbowl history.... And I hate pitt.

Hahaha I would flatten a punter. Stop being a dumb dickhead and give credit where credit is due. It was a great catch for any NFL receiver.

And he was on his way out of bounds at a pretty good clip, was able to make the catch with coverage, and keep his feet inbounds. i could see how that would be routine. Not to mention the fact that it was pretty much their last chance to get it done, so no stress there.

The local sports news last night started out:

"Good evening, Santonio Holmes controled the last drive of the Super Bowl, completeing a XX yard catch to win the Super Bowl with 35 seconds left on the clock. Santonio Holmes completed XX catches for 73 yards on the Steelers final drive. Santonio Holmes... blah blah blah. Santonio Holmes... blah blah blah. Santonio Holmes... blah blah blah. Santonio Holmes... blah blah blah."

McNabb had what, Duce Staley in his 3rd year, Na Brown? Mark Seay? Come on, the 1999 Eagles were pathetic. The 2007 Falcons were pathetic because one single player was taken off of their team, and nothing more. Replace that single player with a top draft pick, and naturally you will rebound. Totally different situations.

Kinda funny when Falcons fans consider making the playoffs a success, and Eagles fans consider losing in the NFC championship a failure.
You seem to know alot about the Falcons.... I can tell by to your insight on what a great team they are and at the same time how they started sucking only when Vick left. We have sucked for a long time now. Get this straight as well, our O-line has never been good. Our defense and special teams are what have saved our asses in the past (besides this year). Vick did ABSOLUTLY nothing for the Falcons program. Show me what he did to make us successful. The team was crappy. It's better now. We made good decisions last year and they brought us to the playoffs. You talked a big game about how the Falcons sucked against the Cards. They Sucked as bad as the Eagles did. They lost. Just like the panthers, just like the Falcons, and almost like the Steelers.

Look at my team, then compare your team. Then look at the stats on October 8th. You tell me how the two teams compare. They are pretty close. You can say your defense is better, it is. But your defense didn't do that much to us when we played you. We had the top performers that game. You stopped us in the red-zone. With a top 6 defense, I would have expected you to do that all season. Many teams did that to us this season, it has always been a problem for the Falcons. In fact, you would be 10 and 6 if you hadn't fucked up that tie. Pretty good NFC record. Not 11 and 5, but pretty good.
Not that I play FF, but look at this.... kind of interesting where they both stand.

Oh, and did Mcnabb make it to the playoffs his rookie year? I can't remember... Enlighten me

Agreed. Only once the Cards figured out they were in trouble did the game get good. Which was the last 7 minutes.
